Setup your membership product

Turn your site into a members-only experience. zora supports both single-tier and multi-tier memberships.

Create a new product and name it membership. This creates the handle membership, which zora recognizes by default. If you use a different name, update the membership product setting in your theme settings.

Setting up your membership product

Single Tier

For a single-tier membership, create a product with no options. Assign a price and you are done. This is the easiest way to get started and works for most brands.

Multiple Tiers

To set up a multi-tier membership, create a new product with only 1 option.

Choose a name (e.g. plans) for your option. It can be anything, as long as it is not "tier" or "tiers". Those names are reserved for members-only variants.

Then add as many values as needed for each tier (e.g. standard, premium, and plus) and set a price. You are now ready to use a one-time purchase multi-tier membership.

💡 Whether you use a single-tier or multi-tier membership, uncheck "Track quantity" and "This product requires shipping." zora does not support quantity tracking for membership products.

Order matters

Tier order defines access levels. Order 1 has access only to that tier, while the last item has access to all tiers.
